Cloudflare spent two decades making security cheap at enormous scale, which is exactly the problem agentic AI now has.
TL;DR
Two things have to be true at once for agents to be affordable: strict control over what may act, and costs that do not scale with ambition. Most vendors are good at one.
Cloudflare’s whole history is doing both under load. That is why the starting point matters more than the tooling on top of it.
Most of cloudflare's security customers use the free version. This, for a decade before AI was even a popular idea.
This means that cloudflare has had to be extremely good at security, at scale, for almost no cost. These are extremes, all in one package.
This is what has made them the natural for this work
more yada yada.
